Our trip to Big Piney

Ok so as many of you know, we went to visit David's oldest sister Sharon. It was such a nice, relaxing, pleasant vacation. Usually when we go somewhere its always rush, rush, rush & spend, spend, spend. Not this time. We of course had to pay for our gas to get to & from & goodies to snack on while in the car but once we got there we didn't have to worry about anything. I have to say that Sharon is a wonderful person. We really hit it off, did I mention this was the first time she & I met? Anyhow, her house is in order, her children are well behaved & responsible, she is a great mother & an excellent cook. The kids had so much fun. they just ran around with her kids and played and enjoyed all the open space & the animals. David had a great time as well, he loved the fact that he could just walk around on their property & shoot the guns. Here he has to drive a ways to go shoot. We took a drive over to Pinedale & drove past the house David lived in as a child. He had showed it to me a few years ago we went to Jackson Hole, but this time we had the camera & he took some pics. He said it looks a little run down. We stopped at the deli & Sharon & I went in & picked up some stuff for lunch. We then drove up to the lake to eat & then just drove around & looked at the scenery. That evening when we got back to the house we got the kids ready and drove to the fairgrounds for the "little buckaroo rodeo" My kids thought that was pretty neat & it was fun watching all of the contestants. On one of the days we were there, we got up early and went up in the mountains, we fished & hiked & the kids swam in the creek for most of the day. Much of the time, we just sat around & talked & got to know eachother, David & Sharon talked about their childhood. Sharon's kids are funny, they had us all laughing when they would tell stories or imitate people & her husband Min is a really nice guy. It was a lot of fun and hopefully we will be able to make another trip up there, probably not till next summer though. They are talking about trying to make a trip down here to see us next month, so we will keep our fingers crossed.
